A highlight of Reykjavík was going to the top of the church bell tower to see the candy colored rooftops contrasted against a largely blue natural surrounding. The boxy buildings look like toys, neatly lined up by the hands of a child. Someone had to have planned the placement of each colored block. It's a must if you're in Reykjavík.

ReplyDeleteHi Julia,
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon your blog because my husband and I are leaving for Iceland on Monday morning! We want to hike and adventure around the island to see the amazing nature! What are our top recommendations to us if you have time :)
Thanks so much!

Lindsay - Awesome! I suggest doing a hike around the Vatnajökull glacier. It's amazing to get up close. We did a hike in Skaftafell National Park, which was not that impressive going up, but was spectacular at the top. I don't remember the name unfortunately. We really wanted to hike in Landmannalaugar (rainbow colored hills!) because it had great reviews but it was too far out of the way. Have a good trip!
DeleteVery nice blog, awesome trip, have you ever been to Spain?
ReplyDeleteCheers Woman To Santiago
I absolutely love the details you capture in each photograph. The point of view is unique as well. Iceland looks like a beautiful place!
