In the last post you heard me gripe about Bali, and in the next few posts you'll hear me gush about Bali.
We hired a driver on one of our last days to drive us around the island and stop at all the scenic spots. It was one of the best decisions we made. We experienced so much of Bali in such a short time, and truly enjoyed the peaceful ride through the country side.
We'll share more photos from our road trip in the next post (temples, wild monkeys, and lunch in the mountains)!

Our first stop was at a temple called Pura Taman Ayun, which translates to "beautiful garden". This was more of a park, than just a temple. Ponds, greenery, bridges, and stone pathways made for a serene setting.
We drove past so many beautiful rice fields. What an amazing irrigation system.
We stopped at Tanah Lot, a rock formation housing a temple off the coast of Bali.
Wow, what a beautiful place. Can't wait to make my way over there some day!

Ps we thought the same about Kuta but you have managed to capture it in a great light with all your beautiful photos.
